Keeping Cool in Cannes

1 April 2010 No Comment

The ultra fashionable, super exclusive Cannes Films festival has always been a hot spot for Cool people.

Recently, there’s a new cat on the scene, redefining what it means to be cool: Jacques d’Azur – a French film producer/director/actor/tennis player/chess master/ backgammon champion/waterskiing pioneer and full time bon-vivant known for his work on the red carpets and swimming pools of the French Riviera.

Some of his witty remarks may seem over the top, but in a way, it does define the Cannes Film festival quite well. Here’s some of his best quotes:

The term “lounging” was coined when Jacques began moving his furniture and contents of his lounge to wherever he was, the pool, the beach.

“I’ve spent my whole life working like a dog. One of those really cute ones that spend their lives in beautiful women’s handbags.”

“It’s not that I was ahead of my time, it’s just that everyone else was behind mine.”
